Telecom giant receives top industry honor in first South Florida interactive marketing awards program.

At the first annual Modem Media SoFIE (South Florida’s Interactive Excellence) awards gala, co-sponsor TheUseful , a results-based Internet marketing services and technology company, presented the SoFIE award in the Technology, Telecom/Business Products or Services category to AT&T (formerly SBC) for the full-scale revamp of its online customer experience, ranging from a redesign of its home page to its bill-pay function. AT&T partnered with Avenue A | Razorfish for its award-winning entry. TheUseful sponsored the campaign award to honor the technology company that most effectively demonstrated the use of creativity, clarity, high performance and overall excellence in user experience.

The SoFIE awards program was presented by the South Florida Interactive Marketing Association . TheUseful was among several co-sponsors of the event.

The awards gala, held February 24, 2006 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, showcased website design, online advertising, interactive media trends, email campaigns and other types of online media as well as the strategies and technology powering these campaigns. In addition to the campaign award sponsored by TheUseful, other SoFIE web marketing award categories included Online Marketing Strategy, Search Engine Marketing Program, Customer Acquisition and Online Direct Response Program, as well as overall Online Brand Experience.
