Award-winning Artist, McKenzie, Joins George Clooney and Others to Support Anti-Poverty Campaign

World-renowned Artist McKenzie joins celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Gwen Stefani, Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, 50 Cent and Bono to lend fervent support to the ONE campaign--One person, One voice, One vote at a time - to make a better, safer world for all.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) March 6, 2006 -- ARTV Fine Art Award Winner and charity passionate artist, McKenzie, announced Monday that she has pledged her support to ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History. ONE is a new internet campaign to reach and engage millions of Americans in the fight against global AIDS and extreme poverty.

"I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be involved in this project" says McKenzie. “Today, more than 1 billion people live on less than $1 a day. After hearing George Clooney’s appeal, I couldn’t say, no.” McKenzie is a world-renowned mixed media abstract artist linked to several charities including; The American Red Cross, Step up, UNHCR, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, and The First Tee, etc. “I am committed to giving back. It is satisfying for me to know that my art can create awareness and that the end result impacts the world in a postitve way.”

One-campaign has recently launched a 30-second video which invites viewers to visit ONE's website to learn more about the emergency of global AIDS and extreme poverty and what they can do to help save millions of lives in the world's poorest countries. Academy Award winner, George Clooney, who appears in the video spot says, “20 years after LIVE AID and it’s time to raise our voices again and make poverty history."

The new video will star some of the biggest names in music and Hollywood; including Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Brad Pitt, Gwen Stefani, Dave Matthews, Coldplay, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, 50 Cent and Bono.

McKenzie says, “The bottom line is to speak up. We hear that call in the ONE Campaign. It is a growing movement of more than 2 million Americans. It is people from all political sides united in the belief that no matter where you live in the world should not determine WHETHER you live.”
