Army Wife Talk Radio Infiltrates “THE UNIT”

Internet talk radio show, Army Wife Talk Radio (AWTR), hosted by Tara Crooks, will air an interview with Eric L. Haney, Command Sergeant Major, US Army (retired) the Technical Advisor, Write and Producer of the new CBS action drama THE UNIT .

Richmond Hill, GA (PRWEB) March 7, 2006 -- Internet talk radio show, Army Wife Talk Radio (AWTR), hosted by Tara Crooks, will air an interview with Eric L. Haney, Command Sergeant Major, US Army (retired) the Technical Advisor, Write and Producer of the new CBS action drama THE UNIT .

THE UNIT based on Haney’s book “Inside Delta Force” is a new action drama premiering on CBS Tuesday March 7, at 9pm EST. The series follows a covert team of Special Forces Operatives as they risk their lives on undercover missions around the globe, while their families maintain the home front.

Seem appropriate for Army Wife Talk Radio? Crooks thought so. When asked by CBS Media Relations if she would care to view the pilot episode and interview Haney, Crooks jumped at the opportunity. She says, “The show is like Desperate Housewives meets GI Joe, only REALISTIC. We know these things happen. We live this life.”

Crooks and her husband Kevin, CPT US ARMY, developed a series of questions unlike most that Haney had ever been asked. “We wanted the questions not to focus on the entertainment aspect of THE UNIT, but more about his military experiences and the portrayal of the families on the show,” says Crooks. Questions ranging from how his deployments affected his family life, to his opinions of today’s Army were proposed to Haney in the interview. Kevin Crooks had this comment, “It’s an inspiring interview that made me feel proud of my career. I do know I won’t miss a show!”

AWTR will broadcast its interview with Haney the week of March 13, 2006. It is available via the website, www.ArmyWifeTalkRadio.com, and will be archived for two months following the airing.
