Finally, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but fun. Teen band sensation B5 releases the highly anticipated DVD story, The B5 Story, which chronicles the bands start from the beginning of their career up to now. Produced by Jamm Entertainment and Robert Townsend Enterprises, the DVD will be released on March 6, 2006, distributed by Green Lighthouse, Inc. and exclusively available online at http://www.RobertTownsend.com.
Due to the high demand of fans wanting to know just who B5 really is and the enormous success of their first B5 Christmas Special aired on the Black Family Channel, the DVD was created to provide an entertaining and colorful backdrop on the band’s road to success. The B5 Story whizzes you through the early years of winning Disney Radio talent competitions, to shooting their first music video for their R&B hit single, “All I Do,” to their signing with record label mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs (Bad Boy Entertainment).
B5 is Five Breeding brothers, Dustin, Kelly, Patrick, Carnell and Bryan, have combined the old school flair of the Jackson 5, the modern day pop of N-Sync and the Backstreet Boys, with the R&B flavor of New Edition to create their own unique style that is simply…"B5". The DVD takes audiences behind the scenes and exposes us to the incredible work ethic, drive, and determination that has taken the group to the top. You’ll get a sense of how quickly they’ve developed individual talent into a group of sensational crooners and skillfully choreographed dancers that leaves young crowds demanding more, more, more.
“Each brother has a special magic and gift all his own. Together, the chemistry is electric,” says Robert Townsend, Hollywood filmmaker and acting coach for the group. No small endorsement from the man accredited with discovering the acting talent of BEYONCE,’ Chris Tucker, and Damon Wayans.
The group's manager, Jim McMahan of JAMM Entertainment Group, said he immediately saw the group’s potential when they were presented to him by one of his associates over 5 years ago. Since then the group has steadily climbed the ladder of success. “It’s an important story to tell,” says McMahan of the new DVD project. “These boys have something special that the fans want to be a part of.” Both Townsend and McMahan believe the B5 Story is exciting and inspirational and have financed the project.
