Plug into Modern Essentials with still5
The still5 design team introduces a dynamic exhibit that portrays plugs and sockets through reversible clothing and artwork by combining elements of fashion and art to provide a one-of-a-kind experience.
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 8, 2006 -- The still5 design team introduces The Modern Essential, a dynamic exhibit that portrays plugs and sockets through reversible clothing and artwork by combining elements of fashion and art to provide a one-of-a-kind experience. The show debuts April 6, 2006 at Atelier 34 Studio from 6-8pm.
The Modern Essential is the first collection created by still5 out of the desire to make art and fashion more accessible. The Modern Essential seeks to elevate plugs and sockets, which are often overlooked in everyday life, to art status. Modern art and minimalist fashion are tied together with performance art, where the models interact with the clothing, the paintings, and the observers. The show is supplemented with user guides that detail the history of plugs and the creative process for The Modern Essential.
still5 is a collaboration between artists, Ryan Nation and Persia Tatar. Both Ryan and Persia share the desire to create unique, accessible art and support the evolution of design through honest creations inspired by the observation of life. The design process is currently being documented on the still5 website blog.
