MonkeyMeter.com rates road rage conditions for U.S. cities.

(PRWEB) March 8, 2006 -- Monkey Meter is the original road rage traffic reporter. The site reports the current level of road rage for cities across the United States. Experienced drivers know that some days are worse than others on the road, and it's not just Friday's. Checking Monkey Meter you can see if you are the crazy one, or if it is truly crazy out there.

Using input from over 17,500 users from over 150 different cities the site uses several calculations to determine the top ten cities with road rage.

Top Ten Cities with Road Rage for 2005:

1. Washington, D.C.
2. New York
3. Houston
4. Boston
5. Chicago
6. Los Angeles

For 2005 the #1 road rage city was Washington, D.C. Washington ranked high all year, and had placed 3rd for the summer of 2005 results. Overall Washington not only placed first, but far exceeded the 2nd place city, New York, by a substantial amount. User ratings on the site have a score value that is added into several other calculations determining how each city is ranked.

Also available on the site are: polls, road rage test, road rage articles, safety articles, trends, a road rage forum, and a newsletter for updates. A national average page also exists displaying all of the cities in the current database with their current road rage rating. The site tries to keep the attitude light by including a daily joke, and place for pictures relating to anything automotive. Links to other automotive related sites are also available.

Since Monkey Meter’s beginning, Dec. 2004, user input has reflected a trend in road rage that appears to be repeating itself this year. Road rage is at it's highest in January, and then begins to slowly descend until the end of August. After summer it began to climb peeking in January 2006.
