Stop Searching for Keywords and Start Searching for Ideas

Ultralingua now offers the Distinguo semantic search and text analysis tools, for enterprise and government customers.

Minneapolis, (PRWEB) March 8, 2006 -- Ultralingua, Inc., an internationally recognized provider of language software tools, announced today its distribution of Distinguo, a next generation search engine component for enterprise search applications, developed with its European partner Semantica, S.A.

“Distinguo allows users to compare a simple query to a large database of texts, locating texts containing similar meanings and ranking them according to their similarity,” explained Chad Johnson, Ultralingua’s General Manager. “It represents the latest research in description logics and mathematical models for searching.”

In addition to measuring the similarity between words, sentences, or texts written in natural language (currently available for English and soon to be released for French), Distinguo can also distill the meanings of a set of texts and then provide comparative information about those meanings.

Distinguo is not available as a stand-alone or consumer application; it is a powerful software component for inclusion in other text analysis solutions. “Any project requiring the comparison of meanings or the measurement of the difference between words and longer texts will be enhanced by the capabilities of Distinguo,” offers Johnson.
