Jason Averbook and David Link of Knowledge Infusion deliver presentation on “How to Create an HR Technology Strategy Map" at Government technology event in Washington, DC.

Today at the Employers of Excellence Government Conference & Expo presented in conjunction with FOSE, the most comprehensive technology event serving government and technology providers, Jason Averbook and David Link of Knowledge Infusion will lead a session focusing on the need for government organizations to have a strategic HR technology plan in place. As the authority on human capital management (HCM) technology, Knowledge Infusion helps leading organizations realize the strategic value of HR and talent management technologies.

WHAT: As part of the Employers of Excellence Conference & Expo in conjunction with FOSE, Averbook and Link will deliver a presentation in the HR Pavilion on “How to Create an HR Technology Strategy Map.” The session will discuss the recent changes in the technology industry, the continued vendor consolidation and how the ongoing shift from a manufacturing economy to a knowledge economy has made it more important than ever for an agency to have a 1,000-day strategic plan in place.

“The U.S. government is the largest buyer of information technology in the world,” said Debbie McGrath, CEO of “The new HR Pavilion within FOSE allows leading HR technology providers to display their solutions in a targeted, focused area – making it much easier for attendees to find the HR exhibitors they are looking for while providing vendors with exposure to companies looking to forge new partnerships.”

Now in its 30th year, FOSE 2006 will serve more than 15,000 high-level attendees from the military, civilian, state and local agencies, along with suppliers to government, corporate, education and healthcare technology. Attendees have the unique opportunity to meet with more than 500 exhibitors showcasing the newest and most exciting integrated technology products and services. The Federal Government represents a significant opportunity for vendors who offer state of the art HRIS, staffing solutions, learning solutions, performance management and other HR technology products that automate the complete lifecycle for government employees. Thousands of decision makers will be attending this event, including the Chief Information Officers and Chief Human Resource Officers.

WHO: Jason Averbook, CEO of Knowledge Infusion, co-founded the HCM consultancy to help organizations realize “the other side of the equation”™ -- the true strategic value that can drive an enterprise by leveraging HR and talent management technologies. With more than 15 years of experience in the HR and technology industry including nine years at PeopleSoft, Averbook has worked with industry leading companies around the world to help them transform their HR organizations into strategic partners.

As COO and managing consultant, David Link is responsible for leading the Knowledge Infusion strategic HCM practice, focusing on helping customers better understand how HCM technology can drive strategic value throughout their organization. Link has nearly 20 years in the consulting industry and has worked closely with HR and IT executives to design and enact a transformation of the HR function by leveraging technology solutions.

WHY: Since the inception of enterprise software, HR and Learning organizations across all industries have been spending a great deal of money on technology without realizing a return on investment. Without an HCM StrategyMap—a clear connection between HCM technology plans and overall business goals—many HR and Learning departments are left with the responsibility of expensive software and processes that have little value. Averbook and Link’s presentation will provide attendees with valuable information on how to create a strategic technology plan, who should be involved, and how to market that plan internally and externally to support long-term human resource and corporate goals and objectives.

WHEN: The conference is taking place from March 7-9, 2006. Averbook and Link’s session on “How to Create an HR Technology Strategy Map” is on Tuesday, March 7th from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the HR Pavilion.
