Staffing software provider, TempWorks Software, today announced the latest release of its Applicant Portal product, Version 1.5.0. The enhanced system now offers a new questionnaire feature, expanded searching capabilities and extended customization options to customers.

The Applicant Portal module, which integrates with the TempWorks core solution, offers 24/7 access to a staffing firm’s job board postings. By completing an online application or submitting a resume from a customer’s website, the Applicant Portal instantly creates an employee record within the TempWorks core system. The online technology allows candidates to self-register and significantly cuts down application process time. The Applicant Portal tool assists staffing firms in bringing in new applicants from the Job Board and serves as a fast and easy way for current employees to search and apply for job opportunities.

This new version of the module features a new Questionnaire system designed to serve as a prescreening tool with auto rejecting capabilities for non-qualified applicants. A questionnaire page is easily created and an Administrator can set the page to be presented to an applicant at any point during the application process. Modifying the page is fast and easy; question, yes/no, correct answer and auto reject text boxes are used to create, change, add or remove questions from pages.

For increased efficiency, once an applicant has completed a questionnaire, those specific answers are saved and the question will not be asked again. If, however, the applicant returns to update application or resume information, they will be prompted to answer any new questions that may have been added since the last visit. Any answers flagged as incorrect are sent along with the application to the service representative for review. If certain incorrect answers are set to the Auto Reject feature, the applicant will be automatically deactivated from the system and flagged as a DNA (Do Not Assign).

Other additions to the Applicant Portal include newly added or improved search options for job title, job category, location, zip code proximity and keyword searches. The extended criteria further define Job Board searches to generate results with increased accuracy.

Extensions to customization capabilities now enable larger customers to offer unique portal interfaces and search criteria for each division of its company. The search criteria results and visible job openings will be filtered to only pertain to that particular division and the job titles related to it (ex. IT staffing). In addition, customers can tailor the look and feel of the Applicant Portal to create a cohesive flow throughout their website and strengthen corporate branding.

Other customizations on a customer-by-customer basis may be accommodated to fit each staffing company’s unique requests and requirements.
