Legal Outsourcing Continues to Gain U.S. Foothold - Legal Outsourcing Firms Continues Rapid Growth

The field of legal outsourcing continues to expand and break barriers. Firms in the relatively new industry have seen their work shift from simpler tasks like document review, into weightier areas such as legal research and drafting complex trial and appellate briefs.

DETROIT, Mich. (PRWEB) March 9, 2006 -- The field of legal outsourcing continues to expand and break barriers. Firms in the relatively new industry have seen their work shift from simpler tasks like document review, into weightier areas such as legal research and drafting complex trial and appellate briefs. Along with recently released statistics by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, which show that 12000 legal jobs were outsourced in 2004, a figure estimated to rise to 79000 by 2015, the new developments add momentum to the already swiftly growing field.

LegalEase Solutions LLC, a Metro Detroit based legal outsourcing firm, has recently seen its client base expand from firms interested in trial level work to firms in 12 different states, interested in trial and appellate work. “Besides our appellate work, we’ve also engaged the corporate counsels,” says Tariq Hafeez, a cofounder of LegalEase. “There is an increasing awareness in the US corporate world to the benefits that outsourcing can provide to a company’s bottom line,” he went on to say.

Outsourcing has recently become a hot topic in the legal world, garnering lengthy
articles in publications like the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and the Washington Post. With the increasing number of law firms embracing the new industry, the benefits have become more and more clear. As Eric Bellman wrote in a September 28, 2005 article in the Wall Street Journal, “One lure of the Indian legal market: the sheer number of lawyers it offers. More than 200,000 Indians graduate from law school there every year -- five times as many as in the U.S. -- creating an enormous pool of talent to tap.” LegalEase co-founder Tariq Akbar agrees: “There is a new breed of outsourcing and it’s tapping the intellectual capital of the world.”

LegalEase Solutions LLC was founded in November 2004, for the purpose of outsourcing legal work such as legal research and writing, preparation of pleadings, drafting of business agreements, and document review to qualified and experienced attorneys. The company has clients in over 12 states, and has offices in Canton, MI, and Chennai and Cochin, India.
