Vincera Joins National Association of Professional Background Screeners

Vincera, Inc., the business process improvement company whose software yields predictive analytics, behavioral monitoring, and information distribution technology to enable their clients to track and manage access to all information they provide over the Internet, today announced that it has joined the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). Vincera is joining as an associate member, the designation given to software providers who are actively involved in the Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) industry.

AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) March 10, 2006 -- Vincera, Inc., the business process improvement company whose software yields predictive analytics, behavioral monitoring, and information distribution technology to enable their clients to track and manage access to all information they provide over the Internet, today announced that it has joined the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). Vincera is joining as an associate member, the designation given to software providers who are actively involved in the Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) industry.

"CRA's must, by definition, distribute vast amounts of personally identifiable information," stated Dave Malmstedt, Vincera's CEO. "Because so much of this information is distributed via PDF files and other electronic means, currently the information can be sent anywhere, by anyone, and is open to tampering, theft, and illicit use. This is a frightening prospect for the CRA industry, given HIPAA-type legislation that is soon due. We at Vincera wish to be a resource to CRA's so that they can reduce risks associated with unbound distribution."

Vincera's VAM! Intelligent Protection™ (VIP) is an information distribution technology that enables CRA's to track and manage the distribution of content that contains personally identifiable information. With VIP, the CRA can easily customize distribution according to the desired business rules of their customers. For instance, an HR department may decide to track that PDF files are being sent, and track the number of machines that the document is being accessed by (potentially identifying a “breached” document); or, with the click of a button, the VAM! customer can protect sensitive PDF files from all but an approved base of users and machines, at specific times, simultaneously preventing the further distribution of such files.

Stated Jason Morris, co-Chairman of NAPBS, "Our industry is immersed in the research, collection, and reporting of personally identifiable information. It is vital that CRA's have access to NAPBS associate members who can provide a way to protect this information from illicit distribution. As President of Background Information Services, Inc. and a member of NAPBS, I am excited to see Vincera join to fill that role."
