Naples, FL (PRWEB) March 11, 2006
Looking for a strong message to rally John R. Wood Realtors’ sales agents in what could be a market-adjusting year, Chief Operating Officer Dottie Babcock cited the Nike Advertising slogan, “Just Do It”.
“Good agents and good companies succeed regardless of market shifts because they find ways to adapt, enhance service levels and deliver better information to the customer”, she said.
Babcock’s message was directed at John R. Wood’s 350-plus agents and staff that were in attendance at the company’s annual awards breakfast held March 2, 2006 at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club.
“We experienced an amazing 2005 and increased sales productivity by approximately 40% percent over the previous year,” Babcock said. “Those around us might be reporting gloom and doom for the real estate market for 2006, but our hard working agents are not seeing that at all. Many are reporting better numbers in January and February of 2006 than they had last year.”
“Our company has increased sales significantly every year since 2002,” reported Phil Wood, CEO of the Wood firm. In fact, we have only experienced sales decreases in two of the past 10 years, one of which was 2001”, he said. “We have traced this success to our package of services and corporate products that have attracted and retained the best agents to our company.”
Each year, the Wood firm honors its top sales producers. Categories for this year’s award winners included the Rising Star awards for new agents who close over two to three million in transactions, the Adele and Ed Kirk awards named in honor of two former Wood agents now deceased who unselfishly support their colleagues with positive attitudes and the Referral awards for agents to who experience the most outgoing and closed referrals. Additionally, the company recognizes their top producers in seven Circle of Excellence categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald and Diamond for production ranging from three to over $20 million.
The top award presented is called The President’s Award given to the company’s top producing agent. Bill Earls received this year’s award for closing over $182 million in sales in 2005.
Earls and his associate Larry Lapin attributed their success to John R. Wood’s support, including the company’s marketing department and management staff.
As a part of this year’s awards event, John R. Wood management donated a check for $10,000 in the names of all of their over 165 award winners to Habitat for Humanity. The Bonita Estero Association of Realtors and the Naples Area Board of Realtors are joining forces to build two houses in 2006 for Habitat for Humanity. Each board will receive a pro-rata share of the $10,000 based on the number of award recipients representing that board.
Wood reported that company plans for 2006 call for the construction of a new 18,000 square-foot administration and corporate headquarters to be built in Creekside Park at the corner of Immokalee and Goodlette Road in North Naples.
“As we get ready to celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2008, this new facility will reinforce our statement of stability as a company committed to our community as well as a company that will proudly remain independent and not one to be sold to a national conglomerate.”
