London Executive Aviation Seeks Early Delivery for First Mustang 'Mini Jet'
UK's largest private jet charter operator negotiates for earlier delivery slot on first Citation Mustang, ahead of its full fleet delivery, the largest in Europe.
London, England (PRWEB) March 11, 2006 -- London Executive Aviation, the UK’s largest private jet charter operator, is in negotiations with Cessna to bring forward the delivery date of its first Citation Mustang ‘Very Light Jet’, so as begin educating the market about its cost advantages ahead of LEA’s full fleet delivery.
London Executive Aviation is to pioneer the introduction of the four-passenger Citation Mustang into the UK charter market and has placed Cessna’s largest European order for the aircraft. London Executive Aviation expects the Mustang to enable it cut the cost of chartering a jet by up to 25 percent and to stimulate increased demand for private air travel.
Seven Mustangs are scheduled to join the company’s charter fleet between Q4 2007 and Q1 2009. The first two are scheduled for delivery in December 2007, but London Executive Aviation wishes to secure an earlier date for at least one of these.
The Very Light Jet is a completely new class of small aircraft that is predicted to revolutionise private air travel through low cost and convenience. Several manufacturers are presently developing rival models and London Executive Aviation selected the Mustang as ideal for the charter market because of Cessna’s reputation for engineering excellence and the aircraft’s outstanding interior space and passenger comfort.
Patrick Margetson-Rushmore, chief executive of London Executive Aviation, commented, “A private jet is the ultimate timesaver and the Mustang will make this an option for many more people, both for business and leisure. We believe it will bring substantial benefits to our customers and are pressing to introduce the aircraft as soon as possible.”
