The 1st Annual Celebrity Edu-Hoops Basketball Game will start at 4pm on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Golden Valley High School Gymnasium, located on 27051 Robert C. Lee Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA, 91321 (cross streets Sierra Hwy and Golden Valley Rd). This event will feature the Court Jesters playing against Castaic Union School District in order to raise funds for Castaic Education Foundation.

The 1st Annual Celebrity Edu-Hoops Basketball Game will start at 4pm on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Golden Valley High School Gymnasium, located on 27051 Robert C. Lee Pkwy, Santa Clarita, CA, 91321 (cross streets Sierra Hwy and Golden Valley Rd). This event will feature the Court Jesters playing against Castaic Union School District in order to raise funds for Castaic Education Foundation.

Castaic Union School District provides children a rigorous education supported by a safe and nurturing environment that maximizes student achievement. This fun-filled event for the entire family will feature a meet-and-greet with celebrities, basketball clinic, highly interactive game half-time contests and performances.

Five dollars of every ticket sold will be donated to Castaic Education Foundation, in addition to our raffle, silent auction, concessions and i9 Sports Dining Week (March 20 – 25) proceeds.

Local Santa Clarita resident, TrinaG (R&B recording artist) will sing the National Anthem. TrinaG’s second album is due to release – Summer 2006 http://www.trinag.net.

Possible celebrity participants includes celebrities participating and/or attending such as Frankie Muniz (Fox’s “Malcolm in the Middle”), Megan Good (“Roll Bounce”), Flex Alexander (UPN’s “One-on-One”), Tyler James Williams (Fox’s “Everybody Hates Chris”), Raven Symone (Disney’s “That’s so Raven”), Melvin Jackson, Jr. (HBO’s “The Wire” and “Everybody Hates Chris”), Elijah Cristian Veluzat (HBO’s “Deadwood”), Hill Harper (CBS’s CSI: NY), Sean “Inches” Jackson (AND 1 Basketball Team), Tank (R&B recording artist) and a host of others to be confirmed.

By bringing the Court Jesters of Western Massachusetts to Santa Clarita, we are able to help the local schools and promote having fun participating in sports. The Court Jesters are known around the globe as the world’s most entertaining comedy basketball team. The team is made up of highly talented former college and professional basketball players with great showmanship skills. They will dazzle the audience with their amazing skills and antics while providing countless laughs! This includes entertaining music, live in-game commentary and plenty of interaction with fans, especially the kids.
