Professional Services and New Ideas Offered at the First Annual Southeastern Michigan Corporate Event Expo

Warren, Michigan (PRWEB) March 12, 2006 -- On Thursday, March 23, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., Oakland - A Communications Partner, a veteran print-marketing organization and publisher of The Everything Events Corporate Event Planning Guide, will host the 2006 Southeastern Michigan Corporate Event Ideas Expo at the Mabry Banquet and Conference Center, located at 23397 Mound Road, in Warren.

“This first-time event expo”, said Publications Division Manager Bill Lonskey, “represents an unprecedented opportunity for the key event-planning decision makers at businesses throughout southeastern Michigan to network with an incredible array of event services.” Six thousand corporate event-planning professionals have been invited to attend.

Whether planning a sales conference, a company picnic or a new-product rollout gala, corporate event planners are constantly striving to add new energy and excitement to the functions with which they have been entrusted. The immense challenge of feeding the demand for innovative event concepts is quite daunting. Even the most inspired planner cannot rely on a constant font of creativity. Where do corporate event planners turn when they need to be infused with renewed ingenuity? In the past, professionals in the industry had no choice but to absorb travel expenses to attend corporate event expos in other major market cities such as Chicago, Dallas, and Washington. Finally, a resource for the event industry will be offered in the State of Michigan.

The successful blending of opportunities for face-to-face exposure with innovative event vendors offering new industry services and ideas will ensure recharged motivation for all attendees     Free to corporate event planners, those in attendance will be stirred by exhibits from caterers, event facilities, event rental suppliers, audiovisual services, event management agencies, exhibit designers, entertainment bureaus, and other services integral to coordinating a successful function. Food samples and giveaways will abound. Guests will savor complimentary cappuccinos, lattes and espressos courtesy of the Cappuccino Man, a mobile gourmet coffee cart provider. A continuous assortment of leading local entertainers, including vocalists, celebrity impersonators, magicians, a ventriloquist, and a mime, will grace a stage located on the main exhibit floor throughout the event.

A number of the Expo’s exhibitors will also play a critical role of event co-sponsors in transforming the Mabry Center into an event-industry showplace. The professional services provided by the following local companies have elevated this event to a level that successfully reflects the hard work and brilliance of the thousands of people who work in the event services area in southeastern Michigan: event management and entertainment services by Double Exposure, Inc., the Mabry Center managed by Continental Services, pipe, and drape provided by Performance Staging, Inc., table linens courtesy of Chair Covers and Linens, stage lighting, sound, and special effects engineered by Staging Optics and Premier Audio Visual.

Oakland - A Communications Partner, the Expo’s host, has been a leader in providing integrated marketing solutions for its clientele locally and nationally for over 40 years. As part of its commitment to aggressively meeting the marketing needs of businesses in southeastern Michigan, the company launched a new publication division in 2005, specializing in highly-targeted industry and community-based periodicals. The new division relished in early-found success with the release of The Everything Events Corporate Event Planning Guide, an annual one-stop resource book of all services key to planning a successful event. Urged by event services and event planners alike, the new division began work on an exciting extension to its first publication - an opportunity that would allow for invaluable face-to-face contact between event services and corporate event planners. This thrilling new venture, of course, is the 2006 Southeastern Michigan Corporate Event Ideas Expo.

Professionals who work in a corporate event planning capacity and are interested in attending the Expo are invited to register for free admission by logging on to www.eventsexpo.net or by calling 248.649.9008 ext. 228.
