Grand Junction, CO (PRWEB) March 12, 2006 -- Eagle Child, Rob Wallace, and ThunderBeat will be in concert at the Sedona Creative Life Center this Saturday at 7 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Native American wood flute music will be presented in a form that no one has ever heard. Eagle Child will premier his style of performance and healing with his partner, Rob Wallace, who plays an array of sound modules driven by a MIDI keyboard. Local Native percussionist rounds out presentation.
Eagle Child, a local Sedona resident, and Rob Wallace have developed a musical style which is built on a spontaneous performance foundation. None of the songs for the concert is rehearsed; none ever sounds the same. There is no structure to the musical performance. Rob and Eagle Child are one voice and locked into Spirit when they perform. Because they are so synergistic, the musical dialog between the two artists is profound. Each song is a unique sonic landscape.
The artists will release their first two CD’s at the concert and will record the Sedona concert for release worldwide. Rob Wallace is the Executive Producer for LazyCats records, which Eagle Child and Rob Wallace are distributed by.
Eagle Child is a renowned artisan, healer and Cedar Wood Flute recording artist and Native American Musician. Eagle Child's tribal affiliation is with the Cree Nation.
Rob Wallace, a multiple NAMI,(Native American Music Award), winner and Grammy Nominee who produces spontaneous musical paintings with Eagle Child that speak to our present being and honor all that is in the Spirit of the Native American culture, past and present.
Native American Musical influences in Eagle Child's and Rob's music is fresh, new, and while traditional in many respects is mixed with never before heard harmonies and rhythms in Native American flute music. The result of their partnership is a unique healing vibration comprised of traditional and progressive expression.
ThunderBeat is a Native American of Choctaw and Shawnee heritage. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, and who now resides in Sedona, AZ. She has studied at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, and studied with ritualistic /drummer Layne Redmond. For the past year, she has been performing with Mayan Shaman Jose Arguelles (The Mayan Factor) she is nominated for five Native American Music awards.
Together, the three artists promise a once in a lifetime musical experience, memorable and an important opportunity to see an evolution of Native American Wood Flute music.
