Podcast Featured at South by Southwest 2006

New video podcast jumps from the small screen to the big screen.

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) March 13, 2006

The new video podcast “SFS TV” will be screening at this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival after receiving an official invitation to be a part of one the country’s largest and most notable festivals.

“We’re so happy and pleased to be a part of the SXSW tradition,” notes Executive Producer and creator Juan Garcia. “We’ll be featured at a small screening, which includes other media organizations from Austin in the Austin Media Arts Council (AMAC) series.

This year’s screening will focus on six new and never before seen student films that will also be seen on the podcast series over the coming weeks.

“To us, SXSW is more than just an opportunity to screen new student films. It proves that audiences want to see student films, and it shows the importance of having an internship program in place as unique as [SFS TV],” explains Garcia.

In addition to this chance to screen the series before a live audience, this week Apple has tagged “SFS TV” as “New & Notable” on the iTunes Music Store Podcast home page. This news comes after “SFS TV” has only been officially “podcasting” since January 30th.

To learn more, please visit the SFS TV main site, or members of the press are invited to attend the SXSW screening. Interviews are requested to be scheduled in advance.
