WriterFest - Where Aspiring Writers Learn from Published Authors
Chicago area published author organizes literary event
(PRWEB) March 16, 2006 -- In an effort to bring together local published authors with those who aspire to follow in their footsteps, Buffalo Grove author Michelle True organized and will host what she hopes will be an annual event - WriterFest. WriterFest will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2006, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Indian Trails Public Library District, 355 S. Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling, Illinois. Refreshments will be served and there will be a free raffle for gift baskets. The event is free, but space is limited. To register, please call 847-459-4100.
Twelve authors representing various genres will answer questions about writing, getting published, marketing themselves and other related issues. Afterwards, they will be available to sign and sell their books.
In addition to authoring several books of poetry, True leads a poetry writers group, performs poetry publishing workshops, publishes poetry anthologies, publishes an internet poetry webzine, publishes audio books, provides editing services to other authors, and mentors high school students interested in a writing career.
