Members of the world’s largest professional association of human resource professionals, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), have a new resource for learning about important new workplace law developments in the states where they have specific management responsibilities. The new state HR news service debuted in February in SHRM’s weekly e-mail newsletter, HRWeek™.

BLR is the first outside content provider to partner with SHRM on this new resource. SHRM’s greater than 200,000 members will continue to receive their customary e-newsletter, which now includes links to state-specific workplace law news articles. BLR has been helping HR professionals with legal compliance and training resources for more than 25 years.

To help SHRM members understand the compliance issues raised in the state news stories that it contributes, BLR is making the relevant portions of its plain-English compliance analysis on state human resource issues available. This important resource is complimentary to SHRM members.

“We are thrilled to help provide this new service to members of SHRM,” said Bob Brady, BLR’s president and founder. “We have witnessed SHRM’s growth as a professional organization that continuously seeks to provide its members with additional value and services. We are proud to have our state HR news selected to be a resource for SHRM members.”

The state workplace law news and compliance analysis provided to SHRM members is chosen from the library in BLR’s website for human resource professionals — HR.BLR.com. HR.BLR.com is BLR’s most popular site and has been providing plain-English state compliance and training tools for HR managers since 1999.
