(PRWEB) March 16, 2006 -- Vista Babble, announced this week that it will be giving away a free copy of Microsoft Windows Vista in a special contest. Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, when released to the general public, will be delivered to the door of the registered Vista Babble member that can offer up the most significant contribution to the users via useful and helpful posts.

Vista Babble, a growing online community, is gearing up for the highly anticipated release of Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows Vista. The forum is dedicated to sharing information and helping users deal with Windows Vista issues.

Donna Fontenot, Vista Babble founder and administrator, said the community has recently been focused on news about the pending release, rumors of possible features and user experiences with the Beta version of the product.

However, Ms. Fontenot noted the forum’s primary focus will shift once Windows Vista becomes available to the general public. Upon release of the operating system, Vista Babble will be focused on trouble-shooting, tip sharing and discussion revolving around the new operating system.

“We want our site to be the definitive place where everyone is welcome to discuss, debate or share their experience with Windows Vista, in a comfortable, friendly environment,” Ms. Fontenot said. “That, in a nutshell, was what prompted our idea for the contest.”

Vista Babble was launched in December of 2005, but has since seen significant growth in visitors over the past three months. Since its launch, Vista Babble has seen hundreds of thousands of hits as guests and registered members hope to discover more about this new system.

“With over 100,000 hits in the first two weeks of February, growth has been doubling due to the excitement of the upcoming release,” Ms. Fontenot said.

Future plans for Vista Babble include guest interviews with prominent Windows Vista gurus, previews of upcoming Vista books, and reviews of Vista software, freeware and shareware.

Although Vista Babble welcomes guests, the contest is limited to registered members with at least 10 posts, so visitors are encouraged to register for free and participate. The registered user who contributes most significantly to the community by the end of the contest period will win a full version of Microsoft's Windows Vista Home Premium edition.
