MC Strategies Announces Update to Online Curriculum
Current Trends in Health Care among six Med/Surg courses added
Atlanta, GA, (PRWEB) March 17, 2006 -- MC Strategies, a leader in web-based learning solutions for healthcare professionals, has released six additional courses for its Medical-Surgical Curriculum.
The 20-course curriculum now includes Care of the Older Adult Client, Current Trends in Health Care, Pain Management, Infection Control, Care of the Hospitalized Patient with Mental Health Problems and Early Recognition of Shock. The online curriculum is designed for nurses providing safe and competent care for the adult client. It uses interactive exercises and clinical scenarios, among other learning methods, to reach new and returning nurses and those cross-training to Med-Surg. The curriculum provides 84 ANCC contact hours.
“These additional courses enhance a curriculum designed to meet the continuing education needs of busy nurses,” explained Maribel Rodriguez-Brogden, Vice President, Program Planning for MC Strategies. “Frequent advances in medicine and technology mean that textbooks can rapidly become outdated. With our online Medical-Surgical curriculum, staff development managers can ensure their nurses get the latest information in their field.”
