She was admiring the way her new, colorful, panties peeked out when she sat on the floor. “I can’t wait for circle time! Everyone is going to love my new underpants!” she proudly proclaimed. As a children's clothing designer, Ciaran knew there had to be a solution. And so she created Francie Pants.
Introduced this spring as a new collection for the Little Lubbaloo brand, Francie pants are enjoying a red-hot reception. Celebrities like Harry Hamlin, and Holly Robinson Peete nabbed them for their kids at a recent Hollywood gifting suite and stores from California to Bermuda are now ordering up the shorts, recognizing a novel solution to an all too familiar problem.
"The difference between Francie Pants and boring old bike shorts," says designer Ciaran Blumenfeld," is that Francie Pants are meant to be flaunted. They are short and silky enough to please even the pickiest, most sensitive child. Francie Pants are produced in sizes 2-10. They come, in prints like "London", and "France", a cheeky combo that the owner/designer knew girls would immediately love. The more sedate prints include clear blue sky and pretty hearts. And for the more wild child on the block, there are skulls, flames and a Tattoo Print. They retail for $15/pr.
