(PRWEB) March 16, 2006 -- The Brooke Trace Gallery will be hosting a Gallery Exhibit Opening, Friday, March 24th from 6-10 p.m., benefiting The Downtown Academy of Technology and Art. The event takes place at 1098 NE 45th Street (Floranada Avenue). Refreshments and appetizers will be served. There will be a silent auction hosting a variety of items donated by local supporting businesses. Local residents are invited to enjoy an evening of art and entertainment.

The Brooke Trace Gallery's March Exhibit Opening will be displaying original artwork ranging from watercolor and oil on canvas, to photography and sculpture. Featured gallery artists include Rob Robi, Jeff Shulman, John Lennon, Mike Turner, Bruce Yodanis, Eve Burjato, Ed Pang, Brooke Trace, Kimberly Peterson, Max Gold, Ashton Howard, Tripp Harrison...In addition the blooming artists and instructors of The Downtown Academy of Technology and Art will be on exhibit.

The Downtown Academy of Technology and Arts school is open for 6th through 8th grades, reaching a maximum of 154 students. Through their engagement with technology and art, young people will begin a lifelong
journey of developing their capabilities and discovering ways to contribute to the world around them. Learning through technology and art impacts how young people learn to think and also, how they feel and behave. The core philosophy of the School reflects the importance of the integration of family and cultural values into the governance and curriculum of the school. This is essential for the increased academic achievement of children. Parents are expected to be active in all aspects of life at the School.

The silent auction will support this worthy cause through donations by our sponsors. We are proud of our event sponsors: Stiles Construction, Tequila Sunrise, World Famous Parrot, Full Moon Kayak, Mack Planet, Ottographics, Center for Optimal Health, Jeff Shulman Photography, Fishing Headquarters and more.

The Brooke Trace Gallery hosts its gallery events and exhibit openings on Friday each month. Each event features new artist exhibitions and art from classic and modern masters, ranging from the fine art of Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Peter Max and others to the latest works by Max Gold and many others of The Brooke Trace Gallery's Featured Artists. Events have included featured artists meet and greet, and eclectic live entertainment from musical performances, cultural dance performances to live body painting art.
