Las Vegas based EasyTel.Net announced today that it has expanded its international network to England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, with new local Public Access Numbers in 115 cities, reaching over 80% of the population centers in the UK and Ireland. Introduced in 2002, the company's GenieNet private VOIP network currently provides local access in about 3,000 cities and communities in the United States and the five major markets in Australia. "We've seen some companies claim to have the ‘lowest international rates’ around," said EasyTel CEO Thomas Skala. "In this case, we think 'low rates' are still too high. This year, we're expanding the GenieNet worldwide to provide local and international service in about forty countries on five continents, WITHOUT any International telephone charges. With EasyTel, our subscribers will talk globally but pay ONLY locally."

The company has already begun the expansion, with the recent introduction of local service and Public Access Numbers in 5 major markets in Australia. During April 2006, the company will also add Local Public Access in France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

GenieTel, LTD., EasyTel’s UK Affiliate is currently conducting local market research to introduce an English version of the EasyTel Unified Communications platform in the UK. GenieTel plans to start its beta testing with selected subscribers, in London, during April 2006.

Skala continued, "For our customers, this means that their friends or family living overseas or traveling around the world, or business associates in any of these countries can now reach each other across the globe with only a local call, and NO international phone charges.

"Family subscribers in Sydney, Australia, or London, England, can call an EasyTel Public Access Number and reach a Genie Subscriber in any of 3,000 cities and communities in the United States. It's a local call for them, and we carry the call across the ocean to the U.S. on GenieNet at zero cost to them! Business owners will be able to conduct a conference call with associates in Tokyo, Rio De Janeiro, New York and Montreal, while they're in Chicago – with no long distance or international charges, just the same 4 cents per minute conference call they'd pay here in the States! And those are just two of the ways to connect. With the Public Access Numbers, subscribers have international access to the full suite of features in their Universal Office."

For subscribers who need to receive more than just the occasional call to or from any of these international markets, the company offers a local presence in each market with a private local number there for only $10 per month.

Recently, the company has also extended the service offering by adding outbound long distance calls to anywhere in the USA (including Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico), Canada, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland for a flat two cent per minute.
