Brooklyn Executive Business Women's Association Honors Members With Women's History Momth Awards

The Brooklyn Executive Business Women’s Association pays homage to members with the third annual awards reception at Brooklyn Borough Hall for active participation in this women’s organization and in the greater Brooklyn community.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) March 18, 2006 -- Brooklyn Executive Business Women’s Association (www.bebwa.com) presents its third annual Women’s History Month Awards reception recognizing women leaders in Brooklyn who have supported the goals of the community through their own business or community-related activities. Sandi Webster, President of BEBWA’s Board of Directors commented, “These awards recognize the outstanding contribution of women business owners, corporate partners and community-minded women in Brooklyn. Without their continued contributions, our neighborhood organizations would suffer.”

There are four categories of nominees. Jean Cammarata, President of Unique Balloons and Kim Schuyler, President of Sky Savory Sweets are nominees for the Entrepreneur Award. The Small Business Award nominees are Sandi Webster, Principal of Consultants 2 Go and Sabra Richardson, President of Simply Budgeting. The Corporate Award nominee is Diane Stuart, Senior Account Representative of MetLife. VR Small, President & CEO of Small Industries’ Organizational Success Strategies and Dominique Adams, Director of Community Outreach for Maimonides Medical Center are the Community Leadership Award nominees. Winners will be announced at the reception.

This event will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Brooklyn Borough Hall from 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Borough Hall is located at 209 Joralemon Street in the Downtown Brooklyn area. Sponsored by Maimonides Medical Center, the theme of “Your Health is Your Wealth: Profiting from a Healthy Body, Mind & Soul,” ties in with BEBWA’s mission to bring educational information to its members with a dynamic slate of speakers on healthcare issues.

You should attend if you are an entrepreneur, small business, corporate, non-profit, or government executive and if you are responsible for marketing your company to hundreds of women in the tri-state area. In addition, corporate sponsorships are available to companies that would like to align their interests with a women’s organization through sponsorship or partnership efforts. We welcome seniors, students and men from across New York as well as neighboring states. VR Small, BEBWA’s Executive Director stated, “Each one of us is the missing link in another person’s success—when we make the connection, we all succeed. BEBWA events create the opportunity for everyone to connect and succeed.”

The Brooklyn Executive Business Women’s Association is known as one of the largest networks in the New York City area, for business, corporate and nonprofit female executives. With approximately 100 members in Brooklyn alone, BEBWA’s main goal is to connect female executives via a structured calendar of networking opportunities that you can get at www.bebwa.com. BEBWA members and partners are afforded regular opportunities to present at meetings, and BEBWA’s bi-monthly eNewsletter outlines upcoming events, member-to-member promotions and affiliate offers.

With a cost of just $60 for a local membership (Brooklyn Only) and $75 for a national membership (includes membership in NAFE), BEBWA is one of the most cost-effective networking organizations in the tri-state area. We also offer an Associate membership with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce that gives BEBWA members 35% off their annual BCC membership dues. There are regularly scheduled, low-cost or free networking events and membership meetings, and of course, non-members are invited to attend. Sixty dollars goes a long way with BEBWA, and so can you. As the BEBWA slogan proudly states, “Making the right connections just got easier.” Check out this professional women’s Brooklyn connection at www.BEBWA.com or call 1-888-268-0961.
