Jewelry Artist Wanda Kuprienko of Tamba set to Showcase Work at CRAFTBOSTON

Jewelry artist amongst world’s finest craft artists to exhibit work at premiere New England contemporary craft show.

Whitehouse Station, NJ (PRWEB) March 17, 2006 -- New Jersey-based jewelry design company, Tamba announced today that Wanda Kuprienko will be a featured exhibitor at the CRAFTBOSTON show, which runs March 31 – April 2, 2006 at the Seaport World Trade Center, 200 Seaport Blvd, Boston, MA.

Kuprienko is among 175 of the world’s finest craft artists to showcase work at CRAFTBOSTON, New England’s premiere exhibition and sale of contemporary craft. CRAFTBOSTON features a full range of craft media, including baskets, ceramics, decorative fiber, wearables, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper and wood.

Designer and founding partner Wanda Kuprienko says, “Colors, texture, shapes, and organic feel dominate my work.” Her collections provide an urban look for sophisticated consumers and are created using ancient metalsmithing techniques.

Every piece created by Kuprienko is initially the pursuit of a vision, each becoming a learning process as the physical properties of the media define the boundaries of her creation. “The process of making is equally important as the end result.” While creating jewelry, her emphasis is on creating something unique, fresh and elegant. Her work is dominated by simple shapes and texture. During this process, she visualizes each piece's functionality and wearability in her concept sketches. Oxidized metal is her canvas. Significant collections of her current designs are based on the effects of oxidization on textured gold, silver, bronze and copper resulting in a timeworn look.
