LATHAM, N.Y. – March 17, 2006 –- In a step to accelerate its growth initiatives, IPLogic (http://www.iplogic.com) today announced that Chris Gaito, formerly an executive with Cisco Systems, has joined IPLogic’s senior management team as vice president of professional services. A principal contributor to the development and support of Cisco channel partner programs for the past eight years, Gaito will leverage his experience and skills to support IPLogic’s rapidly expanding services organization and geographic footprint as the leader of its professional services organization.
“Chris brings to IPLogic a wealth of knowledge, experience and industry relationships,” said Ken Yanneck, president of IPLogic. “His insightful vision of where our industry is going combined with his technical acuity and understanding of business trends has added a significant dimension to our management team. Our industry has been fragmented for many years between traditional voice and data networking firms. IPLogic represents the future of communications technology solutions providers, and by adding Chris to our team, we are positioned to reduce the fragmentation and confusion caused by competing technologies, and assist our customers with a converged communications future.”
Gaito spent the past eight years working in Cisco’s channel organization, most recently as system engineering director for U.S. Channels Commercial Markets where he directed a national team of 70 sales engineers and managers. During his tenure at Cisco, Gaito served in a variety of engineering and management roles, working with networking resellers, service providers, global and national partners, direct marketing resellers and distributors and regional value-added resellers across the United States.
Prior to Cisco, Gaito worked in reseller channels for GE Capital IT Solutions (now CompuCom), and consulted for Coopers & Lybrand and the New York State Energy Office. A graduate of Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y., Gaito is a Cisco Certified Networking Expert (CCIE), an accreditation that is earned by less than three percent of all Cisco certified professionals.
“IPLogic has created a technology powerhouse that provides unparalleled value to clients,” commented Gaito. “The company has proven that it has the ability to consistently solve its customers’ business challenges, the depth and skill to handle significant growth, and the leadership to be one of the foremost networking and business communications companies in the region. The state of New York obviously agrees as demonstrated by its recent, significant investment in our corporate development. I look forward to working with our IPLogic team to develop solutions that ensure future innovation, and most importantly, our customer’s continued success.”
