Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 20, 2006 -- BlackNLA.com will be celebrating its 6th Anniversary with BlackNLA’s 1st Annual Choice Awards. These awards will be highlighting local businesses and individuals based on an online consumer poll. This exclusive event will be held in Hollywood on April 14, 2006.

As part of the celebration, BlackNLA will take the time to recognize some of the areas local businesses and individuals within the community. “There are so many businesses and individuals within our community, and we thought this would be a great time to recognize them,” says Cherice Calhoun, Founder and President of BlackNLA.com. The BlackNLA Choice Awards recipients will be selected based on an e-mail consumer poll, “This is definitely a popularity contest and it will be people in the community that decide who deserves the Choice Award,” states Calhoun.

The event will begin with rolling out the red carpet, which will lead to a reception that will be followed by BlackNLA’s Choice Awards, and end with an after party, The Green Light Lounge, sponsored by Tanqueray.
