Rovion Inc., the leading provider of online video spokespersons, has partnered with MileOne Automotive for an extensive program to promote MileOne’s websites and services using Rovion’s proprietary BlueStream technology.
Almost two dozen BlueStream videos are now running throughout the MileOne network of automotive websites. A real spokesperson informs visitors of the company’s many offerings and guides them through all aspects of purchasing a vehicle -- from making an appointment with a dealer to the servicing of their purchased vehicle. The videos appear seamlessly and politely load in the background.
“MileOne is a great pioneer of using interactive technology to bring the age-old practice of buying a vehicle into the next century,” said Rovion CEO, Len Ostroff. “Rovion’s technology is a great fit to guide people through this often-stressful process and we’re thrilled to be working with MileOne and to helping them take their websites to the next level of customer engagement.”
MileOne is a privately held company that currently owns and operates 46 car dealerships throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. MileOne’s brand name plates include Lexus, Acura, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Toyota, Scion, Volvo, Chrysler, Jeep, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Cadillac, Pontiac and GMC.
The company maintains a portal, which is a gateway to 56 specific websites, many of which are employing the Rovion technology.
From the start of the Rovion program on February 7th of this year, results to date speak for themselves:
- 37.16% watched the entire video
- 33.19% interacted with the video
- 5.85% CTR
- Only .24% muted of whom .08% later un-muted the video and only 1.21% paused it mid-play.
MileOne filmed 23 different video messages and distributed them throughout different sections of their websites, attaching them to different pieces of inventory. For example, a Rovion spokesperson assisted people with scheduling appointments with dealers and, as a result, the number of booked appointments doubled.
David Metter, Divisional President, MileOne Marketing, said 19% of the company’s sales are made online and MileOne’s interactive strategy is extensive, with search advertising, specifically Google, generating nearly 80 percent of the company’s overall site traffic.
“But it’s all about lead submission,” Metter said. “We have 67,000 people go through our site every month, but that doesn’t mean anything unless they turn into a lead. Rovion doesn’t drag people to the site. It keeps them on the site. People don’t have to click through 20 times to find what they’re looking for, we voice them through it. Rovion lowers the guard of the customer and makes them feel better about the process.”
