Two of the nation’s premiere family-friendly organizations, MOPS International (Mothers of Preschoolers) and Man in the Mirror, have teamed up to make affordable parenting resources available nationwide. Beginning this week, books and small group training materials are available for about $1 at http://www.maninthemirror.org/booksfor1dollar. The first dollar item offered by MOPS International on the website is a soft cover version of Mom You Make a Difference, edited by MOPS International President Elisa Morgan.
“MOPS International is delighted to join with Man in the Mirror to make parenting resources available to men and women across the country, at a price they can afford,” said Morgan. “Parenting is one of the most important things many of us will ever do, and we would like parenting information to be accessible to anyone who wants it.”
The $1 resources offered by MOPS International and Man in the Mirror are offered online at a bulk rate that lowers the cost to about a dollar per item. The goal of both organizations is to offer affordable resources for small groups and churches.
Founded by Patrick Morley in 1986, Man in the Mirror is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to equip leaders to disciple men and positively impact families through the local church. Morley has seen more than 6 million books distributed by churches through this program and has said, “It’s amazing to see how often a man will get hold of a book, and God will use that book to get hold of the man.”
Founded in 1973, Denver-based MOPS International is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring women in their journey to be the best moms possible, focusing on Relationships, encouraging and equipping, leadership training, and spiritual development. With more than 3,800 chartered groups in existence throughout the U.S. and 33 other countries, MOPS understands that moms of preschoolers need encouragement during these formative years.
