Family Crests Preserved and Showcased in Italian Marble Murals

Murayah, a Denver-based company that creates fine art masterpieces on Italian marble tiles as wall murals, has developed a special sealant engineered to bring elegant floor murals to private homes and businesses.

(PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- In a private home in Newport Beach, California, Murayah’s first floor mural made entirely of Italian marble tiles has been installed in the foyer of a beautiful Tuscan home.

Brian Fargo, founder of InXile Entertainment and Interplay Entertainment, was looking for an elegant and creative way to display his family crest and preserve his heritage for future generations when he discovered Murayah, a Denver-based company that creates custom fine art masterpieces on Italian marble tiles as wall murals.

"I am in the process of building my new home and was looking for an artistic medallion for the entrance to the house," said Fargo. "While surfing the Internet, I came across several sites covering family crests and felt that creating my family crest on tiles would be a unique way to connect with my ancestors and preserve my family roots."

Fargo contacted Murayah and provided them with a digital image of his family crest.

"The result was a stunning seven-foot mural created on 3" x 3" tiles, with beautiful rustic colors that showed the age and history of the crest. The family crest medallion is the first thing that you see when entering the house; it is simply breath taking," said Fargo.

"We had just finished engineering a special scratch-proof sealant, making it possible to install our Italian marble tile murals on floors as well as walls, when Mr. Fargo approached us," said Gadi Friedman, owner of Murayah. "Our new techniques seemed ideal for Brian’s project, and preserving his family crest seemed to be a fitting purpose for our first custom marble tile floor mural."

The Fargo family crest floor mural, showcased in the home’s entryway, features:
*   Over 375 individual, hand-crafted Italian marble tiles
*   A scratch-resistant coating suitable for light traffic areas
*   A story to tell for years to come

"Stone is an incredibly durable medium," said Friedman. "I can’t think of a better way to preserve your family’s history and still enjoy it every day than in stone on a wall mural."
