Oscar De La Hoya will fight WBC super welterweight champion Ricardo Mayorga on May 6 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada. With this fight, the 6-time champion will end a layoff that began on Sept. 18, 2004 when he was stopped in the ninth round in the fight against Bernard Hopkins. Fighting Mayorga comes as De La Hoya's first ring venture since Hopkins.
