Texas Healthcare Construction at $304 Million for Robins & Morton

Two new Texas hospital construction projects totaling $181 million were recently awarded to healthcare construction firm Robins & Morton. The firm, with division offices in Dallas, is nearing completion on an additional $123 million of Texas hospital construction.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 24, 2006 -- Two new Texas hospital construction projects totaling $181 million were recently awarded to healthcare construction firm Robins & Morton. The firm, with division offices in Dallas, is nearing completion on an additional $123 million of Texas hospital construction.

Recently awarded projects include a new hospital for Hillcrest Health System in Waco, and an acute care hospital for Sierra Providence East in El Paso.

The Hillcrest Health System project in Waco will include a new 89-bed women’s and children’s hospital, a 198-bed community hospital, and 12 additional VIP Suites. Construction on the $115 million facility is scheduled to begin this summer and complete in 2009.

The new 100-bed acute care hospital, Sierra Providence East, is owned by Tenet Healthcare. Construction on the $66 million facility is scheduled for a May 2006 start and a 2008 completion.

Meanwhile, Robins & Morton is moving toward completion on five additional Texas hospital projects totaling $123 million. The projects are located in Kerrville, Lufkin, Tomball, and Houston.

These projects include a 125-bed replacement hospital for Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville totaling $55 million, renovations worth $6.5 million to Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, and the new Triumph Hospital Tomball in Tomball, valued at $14 million.

Meanwhile, Robins & Morton is wrapping up construction on the $39 million Houston Northwest Medical Center. The multiphase project includes a new physical plant addition, four-story parking facility, a new six-story patient tower, and a renovated and expanded 41,000 square-foot emergency department. Also in Houston, the firm is on track for a May completion of the $8.5 million operating room and emergency room expansion and renovations for Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center.
