Upcoming Teleseminar Teaches Ministers How to Practice What They Preach

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) March 25, 2006 -- Ministers emerge from their training all pumped up and ready to ‘spread the word’. But when they are assigned to a church of their own, most are not trained in management and spend way too much floundering in an organizational abyss instead of preaching. Many ministers in New Thought leave the ministry because of this. Dr. Anne Kunath has over 30 years of experience running a church and wants to help people learn from her mistakes. On Tuesday March 28, 2006, she is presenting a Preview call for her “How to Practice What You Preach” teleseminars -- tips and techniques for minimizing the ministerial management mystery. It’s for anyone interested or involved in management of a church.
How should a minister pick a Board of Directors? How many people constitute a board? What governs them? How do ministers deal with problem people? People who monopolize the minister’s phone and personal time drain not only the minister but the entire congregation. How should they be dealt with?
What are the things that make people leave that church? What makes them not come back? Believe it or not, it can be simple things such as parking, bathrooms, cliques, unfriendly ushers or greeters. How can the minister identify these issues before they occur and then what can be done about them?
It’s vital that a minister be in charge of everything that happens in the church for they are certainly responsible for everything. They must choose their “army” of protectors – the board, volunteers, and PR folks – carefully. They must be given their marching orders by the minister, not just left to their own devices.
Although aimed at New Thought ministers and churches, the tips and techniques that Dr. Kunath provide will help ANY minister regardless of denomination.
