RedBeam, Inc., a major supplier of mobile data collection solutions, announces the release of RedBeam Check In/Check Out, a data collection solution ideal for organizations looking to track circulating inventory.

RedBeam Check In/Check Out, a comprehensive PC application that uses barcode scanning technology, is used by clients to track file folders, tools, videos or other rental items, equipment or product samples.

Stephen Bissonnette, Channel Manager for RedBeam, Inc., indicates that the package comes in two editions, standard and mobile. "The standard edition of the software is a complete item database with the ability to use cabled barcode scanners attached to PC workstations. The mobile edition of the software includes a complete item database plus the ability to collect data on scanner-enabled mobile comptuers. The software includes unlimited mobile computer licenses for compatible mobile computer models," says Bissonnette.

Clients using the software can enter employees, members, customers or students and check items in and out to them using the barcode scanners. They can then report on which items are checked out and to whom and monitor overdue items, rental fees, and item usage.

RedBeam Check In/Check Out which is targeted to tool rooms, law offices, medical offices, educational facilities and rental companies is the third product to be added to the RedBeam line. RedBeam Asset Tracking allows users to track fixed asses including computers, printers, furniture, equipment and vehicles. RedBeam Inventory Tracking allows users to receive, issue, move and adjust inventory in a warehouse, distribution center, stockroom or store.
