Todd Cardin of Specialty Answering Service has announced today that the company has extended their relationship with long distance provider Startec through 2007. Startec will continue to provide over 5000 toll free numbers to Specialty Answering Service. In long distance we are in an age of mergers and acquisitions. Initially Todd Cardin formed a relationship with Teligent, a Virginia based long distance provider but soon found out he was doing business with Startec. "Startec was a solid company that seamlessly continued what we had originally established with Teligent.", Todd Cardin stated.
Startec is a facilities-based provider of communications services, including voice, data and Internet access. Founded as a corporation in 1989, that markets it's services to ethnic businesses, residential communities located in major metropolitan areas, to international long distance carriers and to Internet service providers transacting with the world's emerging economies.Startec's mission is to become a leading provider of Internet Protocol, ("IP"), communication services, including voice, data and Internet services to targeted ethnic markets, comprised of ethnic communities from the Asia Pacific Rim, the Middle East and North Africa, Russia and Central Europe and Latin and South America.
Startec provides our services through a flexible network of owned and leased facilities, operating and termination agreements, and resale arrangements. They have an extensive network of IP gateways, international gateways, domestic switches, and ownership in undersea fiber optic cables.
Although pricing is usually the primary variable the businesses use in choosing their long distance provider, this was not the case in this decision. Todd Cardin sited the existing relationship with Startec was the major factor in choosing to renew services with them. Customer service and reliability of the Startec network were very important reasons Cardin chose Startec.
