Lui created and marketed mobile Java(TM) technologies to global handset manufacturers and carriers for six years, and has over thirteen years of experience in the technology industry. He has worked with leading carriers such as Sprint, Vodafone and NTT DoCoMo to enhance consumers’ mobile experience by delivering innovative mobile technology platforms and applications, which drove the explosive growth of Java-enabled handsets worldwide.

He is one of the original members who brought Sun's Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME) to the wireless market in 2000. Preceding Sun, Lui held senior engineering positions at Sybase/Powersoft and Andersen Consulting. He is a Sun Certified Java Programmer, Developer and Architect.
Lui earned his bachelor of engineering degree from the University of Toronto, and is an MBA candidate at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
