Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 28, 2006
Elemental Interactive LLC, an award-winning interactive communications firm, reached a milestone with Avaya Inc., one of its oldest clients. This week marked the one-year anniversary of Avaya podcasting its quarterly earnings conference calls and other investor events via the internet (http://www.avaya.com/investors). Avaya began looking for creative ways to reach its stakeholders in a more convenient, mobile-friendly way.
“We recognized that our shareholders and investors, like our customers, increasingly need information in a more mobile-friendly format for playback on a variety of devices,” said Matt Booher, Vice President, Investor Relations, Avaya Inc. “Few shareholders are tethered to a computer all day. They want the access to information while they are doing other tasks and are in different locations. This was a great opportunity to extend our interactive communications initiatives. Elemental helped us reach our audience in a new way.”
In an effort to stay on the cutting edge as it relates to digital audio and video communications on-demand, Elemental Interactive recently partnered with ListenShare, an Atlanta-based entity that helps businesses plan, produce, publish and promote digital audio and video communications via open media networks such as the Apple® iTunes® Podcast Directory, Google™ Video and Yahoo® Podcasts. ListenShare recently published iPod® Audio Tours for Atlanta-based projects focused on sustainability: Atlantic Station and the Interface Inc. Showroom.
The iPod® Tour of Atlantic Station takes users through their comprehensive approach towards creating a sustainable community that addresses land, air and water quality. Brian Leary, Vice President of Design and Development for this amazing city within a city, is the Atlantic Station tour-guide. He takes users through an exclusive voyage of the entire property. Starting from birth, users have the opportunity to hear mind-blowing details as to how Atlantic Station manifested over time.
The iPod® Tour of the Interface Inc. Showroom allows users the unique experience of choosing their own tour based on specific areas of interest: Interior Design, Lighting and/or Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)®. Andrew Beldecos, of Beldecos Lighting, is the primary lighting engineers for the Interface Inc. showroom. Andrew speaks to users on the elaborate strategy and LEED® value behind the Interface Inc. showroom lighting. Holley Henderson, formerly of TVS Interior Design and currently of H2 Ecodesign, is a LEED® accredited professional. She takes users through the dynamic approach behind the design implementation and the LEED® scoring model of the Interface Inc. Showroom.
“It’s about accessibility and volume,” said James Harris, Founding Partner ListenShare. “Whether it’s providing the same information (earnings) in a more mobile-friendly format like in Avaya’s case or giving the consumer a new and innovative experience as in the case with the iPod® Tours, they’re both beneficial in reaching a broader audience with a desire for information on-demand.”
At the Macworld Trade Show in San Francisco, CA, Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced that Apple sold 14 million of its market-leading digital media players in the 2005 holiday sales quarter, nearly three times as many units as in the same period the previous year. In total, Apple has sold more than 40 million iPod® devices since the product was introduced in October of 2001.
