- Full 3 years of updates included - Windows Trade-In policy launched

Technalign, Inc. has announced they will release a special edition of TaFusion MEPIS Linux to the community. The special edition packaging and pricing is a thank you to the community and also for a successful move to Delta, Colorado in the past month from New Jersey. The special edition software will include 3 years of updates from the Technalign repositories at a cost of only $19.95. However, the special edition will not include the standard 1-year of upgrade protection or the support services of Technalign.

"We have much to be thankful for since the community, Partner Network and the folks in Delta, Colorado have been fully supportive during our move.” claims Technalign CEO Dianne Ursini. "We wanted a way to say thank you to everyone who has made this possible and at the same time provide them with stability.”

A trade-in program for Windows users is also being implemented that allows licensed users of Windows to send their Windows Operating System to Technalign and receive the special edition for only $10.00 plus shipping and handling. TaFusion MEPIS Linux is a direct replacement for many Windows systems running today. The details of the offer are on the TaFusion website. The Windows trade-in policy will be in effect for a period of 30 days.

“With the delay of Vista until next year, we believe the time has come for a stable Operating System such as TaFusion MEPIS Linux.” states Warren Woodford, CEO of MEPIS, LLC. “We believe the end-user will appreciate the stability of an operating system without the problems they have become accustomed to along with the ability to get support from our partner network when required.”

Technalign’s Partner network is located throughout the US and Canada. Partners provide assistance from installation to specific application support ranging from running Windows applications, Windows games, OpenOffice and using cameras and iPods on Linux. Many Partners who sell systems nationwide are using desktop sharing to provide a means of training and support to the end-user today. Partners are also verse in converting data from Linux to Windows when required.

“With the addition of trials from Transgaming Cedega for Windows games and Codeweavers CrossOver Office for running Windows applications, users can continue to run most of their favorite applications today on Linux.” added Ursini. “We’ve included time demos for both applications with all of our products plus an enterprise grade disaster recover system from Ruffdogs”.
