Students at Gibbs College in Vienna Benefit from Weekend Classes

New course schedule means more options for busy students balancing work and family while pursuing their degree.

We are very pleased to offer students this opportunity. As students continue to demand more classes and more ways to fulfill career goals, Gibbs will respond by supporting them along the way and meeting their needs whenever possible

Vienna, VA (PRWEB) March 28, 2006 —In an effort to meet the needs of the increasing number of students seeking better ways to balance busy schedules with academic goals, Gibbs College in Vienna has added weekend college classes to its course schedules, making flexibility an even greater part of the Gibbs College curriculum. The weekend classes have been added in the school’s most popular specialized degree programs, Criminal Justice and Medical Assisting so students can work toward their Associate of Applied Science degree in these fields while attending to the work, family and personal responsibilities that are already part of lives.

“We are very pleased to offer students this opportunity. As students continue to demand more classes and more ways to fulfill career goals, Gibbs will respond by supporting them along the way and meeting their needs whenever possible,” said Stephen Goddard, president of Gibbs College in Vienna. “We’re here to help students obtain the education and training they need at the pace they want. Students were interested in weekend classes because of job obligations during the week, and rather than allow work or personal life to be an inhibitor to students who want to pursue their career goals, we are opening up our doors to them instead.”

With the addition of the weekend course schedule, students enrolled in specialized degree programs at the college can take weekend classes to fashion a workable schedule in addition to taking classes during the week, while others can take advantage of a strictly after-hours schedule. There are still plenty of opportunities to be involved in school activities and labs for students who enroll in weekend classes, and often, because weekend classes are free of the distractions of the workweek, they can be even more conducive to academic success. The weekend classes maintain the small sizes, professional faculty and student-focused class time characteristic of all classes at Gibbs College in Vienna.

Specialized Associate and Bachelor level programs offered at Gibbs College in Vienna can give students the knowledge they need to pursue their career interests quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. Because degrees are attainable in a short period of time, some in as few as 18 months, students don’t have to feel they are lagging behind because they are not immersed in the traditional school course schedule. Graduating students should be ready to start their new job search and get involved with the industries they are training for sooner, and the weekend schedule for the Criminal Justice and Medical Assisting programs will allow students the same opportunity students.

Gibbs College in Vienna is an accredited Member, ACICS.
