Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) March 31, 2006
Window Book, Inc., the leader in postal shipping, manifest mailing and Delivery Confirmation® software announced today that its mailing products, DAT-MAIL™ and Post Master™, have been updated to comply with the United States Postal Service’s (USPS®) Facility Access and Shipment Tracking (FAST) system. Additionally, Window Book is seeking volunteers to BETA test its FAST interface with USPS.
FAST replaced USPS’s previous system, Drop Shipment Appointment System (DSAS) and is more efficient and reliable. It processes drop shipping via electronic notification and automatically tracks appointments.
DAT-MAIL, Window Book’s complete Mailing Management software, allows mailers meet FAST requirements for presenting data with the latest 8125 forms (PAVE certified in October 2005), and automatically fill in the pallet information on postal documentation with Mail.dat® files.
DAT-MAIL is a post-presort mailing statement generating software, which can edit both Mail.dat and non-Mail.dat data entry. It supports PostalOne!® via Mail.dat files, PostalOne! Web Services, as well as FAST Web Services.
“The USPS has made significant improvements in the way drop shipments are processed and Window Book’s software will enable mailers to integrate their systems seamlessly with the new FAST system. It will greatly improve our customers’ internal quality control systems by giving them the ability to track and match up appointments and 8125 forms,” said Jeffery Peoples, CEO of Window Book.
Window Book will be showcasing its smart shipping and mailing products at the National Postal Forum in Orlando, Fl. from April 2 to 5 at booth 1218.
