QuickieJob.com - Offers Employers a New Portal to Hire College Students for Internships and Short Term Employment

With QuickieJob.com employers can find college students throughout the Greater Boston area for such jobs as internships, babysitting, clerical work, camp counseling and more.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 1, 2006 –- QuickieJob.com opens its doors to employers in the Greater Boston area looking for short-term student employees. Quickie Job was created by Boston University sophomore Alexis Pire to fill the gap for a lack of ways to find short term employment and internships in the Greater Boston area. “It all really started when I was helping a friend find a summer internship,” states Pire. QuickieJob.com enables college students with busy schedules quickly secure a job or internship in their area from any computer connected to the internet.

“Students have a very busy lifestyle between classes and studying so we tried to make it easy for them to find such employment without leaving their rooms,” states Pire. “We are currently in the process of deploying our service throughout the Greater Boston area offering jobs ranging from internships to babysitting and more.

The problem is that although some colleges offer similar services to their students, the demand is so great that universities are not able to keep up with it and usually maintain inaccurate, outdated databases of short-term jobs. Quickie Job solves this problem with a comprehensive online software enabling employers to be in charge of their listings thus bypassing human intervention. Our automated service enables employers to post, update and close listings whenever they have filled their positions. Students can browse through job offers, contact employers, and even send their application and resume instantly. “The benefits of our service are endless,” states Pire, “we alleviate on-campus employment services from keeping up with endless paperwork and offer new possibilities to both students and employers who are able to find each other in a secure online environment.”

Our prices reflect the need and budgets of these employers looking for short-term employees by offering a low cost alternative to expensive job listing services and traditional newspaper ads. Use of QuickieJob.com is free to all college students. A nominal per job listing fee is charged to employers; Non-Profit employers such as individuals and organizations are charged $10 per month while businesses are charged $25 per month with decreasing pricing for longer listings. Additional information about the Quickie Job service can be found online at www.quickiejob.com.
