New Title Encourages Reflection and a Call to Global Action through the Retelling of Past Lives

Do you believe in reincarnation, or that you may be lived before? Caryn Colgan was skeptical, until one sunny afternoon on a St. Louis freeway. One minute, she heard the screech of brakes—the next, she was standing with a group of women in a cold valley stream, surrounded by mountains. At that moment, Colgan’s life changed, and she knew that she could no longer live her life as she had done before.

Colgan began having frighteningly real dreams, which revealed the existence of an ancient tribe, sworn to act as guardians of the planet and to safeguard all living things. In time, Colgan realized that she was destined to revive and renew their Ancient Pact.

There are a number of people like Colgan who have had similar recollections of past lives, often keeping them secret for fear of being rebuked, and at times doubting their sanity. However, belief in reincarnation and past lives is not uncommon, with a late 2004 poll showing that 25% of Americans believe in both concepts. Wanting to share her experience and help others develop their innate potential, Colgan bravely authored a fictionalized account of her evolutionary journey in Ancient Pact, Volume 1: The Element of Air.

“I wanted to write a book that was entertaining, while challenging readers to apply the lessons to their own lives,” Colgan says. But writing the book also holds deeper meaning—“I hope to encourage readers to join with others to create a global community to renew the pact.” Ancient Pact, Volume 1 is the first in a series of four books, each urging readers to explore a different mystical lesson.

In 2000, after years of corporate life and marketing tax strategies to Fortune 500 companies as a certified public account and eleven years as a workshop facilitator, Colgan founded Good Spirited Company, LLC, to take projects forward that promote balance, responsibility, harmony, personal and spiritual growth. She is also an active volunteer for a variety of organizations, and continues to present workshops on different areas of spiritual growth.

Ancient Pact, Volume 1: The Element of Air (March 2006, ISBN 0-9679616-3-7 , $16.95 US, 256 pp.) is available through New Leaf Distributors, and directly from Good Spirited Company, the publisher, at (866) 365-4441, or at http://www.GoodSpirited.com.
