Outbyview.com Launches Commercial to Promote Gay and Lesbian Marriage in Canada

This 42-second commercial presents what initially appear to be two straight couples on the point of marrying in a chapel, only to discover at the time of the traditional kiss that each couple is in fact made up of two men and two women... Watch the video.

Montreal, QC, Canada (PRWEB) April 3, 2006 -- Canada's complete receptive tour operator for the gay & lesbian community, Outbyview.com, is also the official travel partner for the 1st World Outgames Montreal 2006.

This 42-second commercial presents what initially appear to be two straight couples on the point of marrying in a chapel, only to discover at the time of the traditional kiss that each couple is in fact made up of two men and two women ... The video is being broadcast over the Internet thanks to viral marketing efforts (word of mouth via email) as well as through video directories on the Net. Outbyview.com is also currently negotiating the purchase of spots on American TV channels devoted to the gay and lesbian community in the United States, such as HereTV, Logo (part of the MTV Network) and OutzoneTV (part of the Bravo network).

This commercial is part of a dynamic marketing strategy prepared by Gerard Spatafora (co-founder of the http://www.gaycrawler.com search engine), who is currently in charge of marketing and Internet development for Outbyview.com. As noted by Mr. Spatafora, "This commercial comes to further support Outbyview.com’s current strategy, which is composed of banners and sponsored links on the Internet, flyers in professional tourism shows and, finally, print advertising in the gay press in the United States."

Indeed, as estimated by the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Canada’s "new international image" could draw more than $1 billion over the next three years by marketing Canada as a pro-gay destination. In addition, the Supreme Court of Canada's same-sex ruling has "branded" Canada a gay-friendly destination.

Outbyview.com, with its unique wedding programs, offers an experience specifically designed to meet the expectations of brides and grooms depending on their beliefs: “We are very proud to announce the release of our first video commercial on same-sex weddings in Canada. Indeed, we have already organized celebrations in Montreal and Canada. Vancouver wedding packages will be available soon!”, says Jean-Claude Guay, Project Manager of Outbyview.com.
