Northampton, MA (PRWEB) April 3, 2006
inRESONANCE, a leading developer of technology solutions for schools and educational institutions, today announced it has acquired the online admissions application service from one of its strategic partners, AdmissionsQuest, a leading on-line school directory, information provider, and promoter of independent boarding and day schools.
inRESONANCE, which already offers the AdmissionsQuest online admissions application service as an integrated feature of its more comprehensive admission and enrollment solution, PORTAL, will continue to offer the online admissions application service as a stand-alone product for schools to add to their own websites.
AdmissionsQuest, based in Cambridge, MA, will continue offering the online application service, as a reseller of what is now an InRESONANCE product. AdmissionsQuest will also continue to operate its popular portal into private school education, providing an online school directory and research service to help families navigate the process of finding and applying to private schools.
“Acquiring the online admissions application service from AdmissionsQuest is a natural extension of what has already been a strong working relationship between the two companies,” said Kevin McAllister, president and CEO of inRESONANCE, Inc. “Together, our solutions have been serving a fast-growing number of independent schools that are embracing easy-to-use technology to more efficiently serve student families. We have already integrated the online admissions tool into our recently launched PORTAL 3.0 solution and will continue to offer the online admissions application service to private schools as a separate service as well.”
inRESONANCE is well positioned to operate the AdmissionsQuest online admissions application service, since it began providing the technology infrastructure for the service in 2003. The company’s popular PORTAL admissions and enrollment management solution is well-regarded by admissions directors because of its ease of use, time-saving features, and because it can be customized by non-technical admissions professionals.
“We have been using this combined PORTAL and AdmissionsQuest service for two years and our applicants and parents report they find the online application extremely user-friendly,” said Kevin Grady, Director of Admission for San Francisco-based St. Ignatius College Preparatory, which uses the bundled solution for all of its applicants. “We also like the flexibility it has to customize the solution on our own. The fact that this solution also utilizes a FileMaker Pro backend is a big plus.”
