Win $250 worth of sporting equipment, one-month supply of delicious Sunkist® oranges & Six Flags Amusement Park tickets for your Little League team by entering Sunkist’s “Sensational Squeeze Play” writing contest before May 12, 2006. Sunkist is offering this contest to promote how Sunkist® oranges are great fresh snacks that can be used to help fuel players out on the field.

We’re proud to offer Little League® players and families fresh and fun snacks to fuel up on instead of sugary candy, cookies or chips.

The call is out! As the “Official Fresh Snack of Little League® Baseball and Softball”, Sunkist is calling for all Little League® players, coaches, families and friends across America to share their best, most exciting story about how their team made a sensational squeeze play that saved the day. Squeeze play stories will be reviewed and the BEST will win 20 general admission tickets to one Six Flags Amusement Park in the United States.

Starting April 3, 2006, team coaches, players, family members and friends can visit http://www.teamsunkist.com/usa to get not only all the juicy details about how Sunkist® oranges are great fresh snacks that fuel players on the field, but also how to enter and win tickets for the entire Little League® team to a Six Flags Amusement Park. Any coach, player, family member or friend can enter the contest by submitting a 100-word story about how the team made a sensational squeeze play that helped deliver the team in a pinch. The story can be about anything ranging from an amazing winning play from the outfield during a game to a play made off the field like mom having to chauffeur a team all night just to make it in time for the big game, or about a player or coach who was able to go to the extreme to lead the team to victory.

In addition to 20 Six Flag’s Amusement Park tickets, the winning team will also receive a one-month supply of delicious Sunkist oranges, the “Official Fresh Snack of Little League®”. To sweeten the deal even more, two first-place winning teams will win $250 worth of sporting equipment AND a refreshing one-month supply of Sunkist oranges.

What’s more, once again Sunkist is distributing specially marked bags of Sunkist oranges that include a free Upper Deck® collectible baseball trading card. The cards feature nine current professional greats who inspire thousands of Little League®, players including Alex Rodriguez, Lance Berkman, Vladimir Guerrero, Ichiro and Albert Pujols.

“Sunkist is committed to providing kids with a healthy snack,” said Robert Verloop, Vice President of Marketing, Sunkist Growers, Inc. “We’re proud to offer Little League® players and families fresh and fun snacks to fuel up on instead of sugary candy, cookies or chips.”

Healthy snacking isn’t just for Little League® players. In fact, it is especially important for all growing kids to eat healthy foods and replenish their bodies with abundant doses of Vitamin C. Just one Sunkist navel orange is an excellent source of fiber and supplies 130% of the recommended daily value (RDV) of Vitamin C. Additionally, since most citrus fruit is even packed with soluble fiber, just one orange is more filling and satisfies hunger much longer than a high-calorie snack like chips or candy.

“Little League Baseball appreciates the partnership with Sunkist and their commitment to keep our kids healthy and energized on and off the field.” said Stephen D. Keener, president and CEO of Little League Baseball®. “The Sensational Squeeze Play contest is a great way to promote a fresh and healthy snack and food alternative for active families.”

All contest entries to win tickets for Six Flags Amusement Park must be postmarked before May 12, 2006. Visit http://www.teamsunkist.com/usa for complete rules and judging criteria.
