The Foundation is a top international source for original educational and support materials for chiropractors. The highly influential institution's board has evaluated ACOM's clinical documentation and reporting solution and has approved it for marketing to FCER membership.

We think this partnership will be of significant benefit to our members, both in advancing our core activities, but also in bringing them a fresh exposure to better business practices in their offices, both in their www.acomemr.com [SOAP notes and reporting] and in the www.acomemr.com [practice management software] requirements, both areas of critical need throughout the medical field.

The Board of Directors of the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER) has elected to establish a referral partnership with ACOM EMR, the Healthcare Business Division of ACOM Solutions, Inc., the developer-marketer of the RAPID EMR [clinical notes and documentation solution and the RAPID EPM enhanced practice management solutions, it was announced today by Director of Administration DeAnna Beck and ACOM Vice President Gregory T. Church. It is the only partnership of its kind to be established at the foundation.

Founded in 1944, The Foundation for Chiropractic Research is the oldest and most respected chiropractic research-funding institution in the world, having funded grants, fellowships and residencies totaling some $10 million since 1980. Its publications, ranging from research papers to videos and assorted promotional and news pieces -- have a strong presence in thousands of chiropractors’ offices, providing a ready source of research-based information to patients, associated health care providers and the public.

According to Church, the new arrangement will provide the ACOM’s Healthcare Business Division with marketing access to FCER members and supporters (non-member financial contributors), as well as allow the division to participation jointly in marketing and communications activities conducted by the organization.

These include, among others, exposure in the weekly FCER e-newsletter, The Week in Chiropractic, FCER mailings and e-distributions, and the opportunity to participate in the organization's Conference on Chiropractic Research, which will take place in September. According to Beck, this conference is the most prestigious forum within the chiropractic community for presentation of original thought and research in 2006.

“Our board is comprised primarily of chiropractors from all over the country, and it was the consensus that RAPID EMR is the best product of its type they had ever seen,” she said. “The board felt that they would like to move information about it into the profession, and ACOM is in the process is doing that right now, with our organization’s support.”

Besides its value in promoting automated diagnostic and treatment notes, clinical reporting, and practice management solutions to the profession, the new partnership also earns FCER a share of the revenues from member/supporter sales, which the nonprofit organization will use to further its education and research initiatives, Beck said.

“We think this partnership will be of significant benefit to our members, both in advancing our core activities, but also in bringing them a fresh exposure to better business practices in their offices, both in their [SOAP notes and reporting and in the practice management software requirements, both areas of critical need throughout the medical field.”
