The event takes place Friday April 7th before the Atlanta Hawks take on the Washington Wizards. The purpose of Disability Awareness Night is to showcase the extraordinary athletic talents of disabled athletes.

Prior to jump-off, two teams from the American Association for adaptedSports™ Program (AAASP) will display their talents in a battle on the Philips Arena court at this year’s Disability Awareness Night. The mission of Disability Awareness Night is to expand awareness of the 54 million Americans with disabilities by highlighting their extraordinary achievements and the perseverance and dedication of the families, caregivers, physicians, nurses, therapists, and teachers involved in their care and development.
