The International School of Hospitality Introduces the Online Conference Management & Event Planning Certificate Program
Online Certificate program for the Convention, Meeting and Event industries.
Las Vegas, NV, April 5, 2006 -- The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) is proud to introduce a new online certificate program in Conference Management and Event Planning, announced Timothy Lam, Director of The International School of Hospitality. Based on the industry recognized classroom program, the online program is designed by the same group of 10 industry and academic professionals, each contributing knowledge within their areas of expertise. The program is offered completely online, with no residency periods required and can usually be completed in 3 months. TISOH recommends internships for all students and offers internship and job placement assistance. Each student will be assigned a principal instructor as his/her primary learning liaison. All of the course designers stand ready to offer assistance when needed. The absolute majority of instructors possess CMP or CSEP certifications and/or advanced degrees. All have years of industry experience.
The Conference Management & Event Planning Certificate program is comprehensive, and appeal to both new entrants as well as established veterans. Within the 17 modules that comprise the program, topics include budgeting, bid preparation, program development, leadership & responsibility, site selection, negotiations & contracts, labor issues, risk management, meeting/event logistics, food & beverage, vendor management, on-site management, technology, sponsorships, marketing, media management, trade shows, associations/non-profits, theme development, entertainment, memory development, post-event reporting and career development.
