Prominent open source analyst, author and Virtuas Practice Leader Maria Winslow invited by LinuxWorld editor-in-chief to select “best in show”.

Virtuas Open Source Solutions, the premier open source knowledge enablement organization, announced today Practice Leader Maria Winslow’s involvement in the prestigious LinuxWorld Product Excellence awards.

Sponsored by LinuxWorld Magazine, Product Excellence Award judges are included by invitation-only and include a select group of about a dozen prominent industry analysts, authors and journalists.

LinuxWorld 2006 Product Excellence Award categories cover a range of sectors, including best system management tool, most innovative hardware, best integration solution, and best open source solution. Winners are selected based on a wide range of factors, from technology, to marketplace maturity, to consumer value, to the relationship with the open source community.
